The Back Story
I was always more interested in the dollhouse than the dolls! I caught the bug for interiors at a young age! As early as 7 years old I was drawing kitchens on grid paper and rearranging all the rooms in the house.
The name, ‘The Pleasant Home Co.’ is obviously a play on my last name, but is rooted from my Grammy Pleasant who insisted the whole family move every few years so she could decorate another Pleasant Home. Making a home beautiful is a commonality amongst the Pleasant family, so I wanted a name we could all share and feel proud of!
Like many things in life the road to design work wasn’t linear for me. With a business degree, and 12 years of operational strategy and retail leadership experience. I feel blessed to have woven into the home interiors space in my time at Wayfair and Target. Working with incredibly talented designers and merchandisers is what ultimately drove me to pursue design projects and further my education in interior design. I’ve furthered my education in color theory, space planning, and design renderings while simultaneously taking on 50+ design projects.
We feel so fortunate to be able to help our clients build, remodel, and furnish their homes in a way that brings them eternal fulfilment at home.
Building meaningful relationships with clients is one of the most rewarding parts of my work and I look forward to expanding the Pleasant Home community!

Our Style
My favorite part of my job is using my clients taste and home to bring a new story to life. If given no direction, I lean on neutrals for a base layer and weave in organic colors + textures to bring warmth to a space. I believe in the transitional style model and think it works just about anywhere. Weaving in modern elements and antiques to bring clean and cozy character to each room. We’re not afraid of color or wallpaper and love to elevate little spaces with this type of art and detail. I embrace imperfect ceramics and love the natural patina of antique metals and furniture.
I believe you are responsible for your homes legacy and we hope you choose us to help your make your stamp on it’s history.
